The Large Munsterlander originates from Germany, they are black and white, long haired Hunt, Point, Retrieve (HPR) multi-purpose gundogs. They have the most wonderful characters and love adults and children. They are excellent working gundogs and also enjoy Canicross, obedience, agility, and flyball. They can make excellent Pets as Therapy (PAT) dogs.
More information about the Large Munsterlander can be found on the Kennel Club website here.
We have lived with several Large Munsterlanders during the last 20 years. Mazy (Blitzan Eternal Treasure) was our foundation bitch who had two small litters. Mazy was a happy confident dog with a superb temperament and lived until she was 12.5 years old.
Fern (Kamaze Liberty) was a pleasure to live with and loved nothing more than a really long walk on the coast.
Currently we have a daughter from Fern’s last litter Dora (Kamaze Cosmic Diamond) who was nothing like any of the others as a puppy but now is an absolute delight to live with.
